A group of schoolchildren was relocated together
with their school’s headmistress Jean Hogg (Helen McCorry) and teacher Eve
Parkins (Phoebe Fox) to Eel Marsh House- a manor located in the country, as bombs detonated down on London
during the Blitz of WWII. Although Jean and Eve doesn’t approve into staying at
the manor, there is no safer place for them to stay at.
It wasn’t
long before Eve felt that there was something ghostly residing inside the
manor, as one of the children died in an unexplained matter. As the place
which they’ve thought could offer safety to them becomes a manor of horror, Eve
seek for the help of a handsome pilot named Harry Burnstow (Jeremy Irvine) to
investigate the things that she senses within the mansion. They soon discover
that the place is inhabited by the Woman in Black.

If you wanted a horror movie where you crawl inside
your blanket and shiver to death while watching it then “The Woman in Black 2:
Angels of Death” is not a movie for you. The movie was created with great
cinematography and creepy feels escape within the venue however horror still
won’t get inside you. BUT to sum it up the story is great and it gets better
and better as it reaches the climax of the movie. BUT it’s just not that
terrifying as how horror movie should be. The reason might be (for me) was
that, the sound effects don’t get to scare your eardrums to the point that you
don’t want to hear it, or if not, they just didn’t show enough scary scenes.
I won't stay there if I were you Harry. Image Source: http://www.thewrap.com/woman-in-black-2-review-jeremy-irvine-phoebe-fox/ |
